How to Volunteer
Volunteer at The Grace Foundation in El Dorado Hills

Our organization is run 100% by the world's greatest volunteers. From mucking to grooming, fence mending to marketing, and more, our volunteers are truly the heart and soul of Grace. If you would like to join the our group of amazing volunteers, please make plans to attend a New Volunteer Orientation, complete a Volunteer Packet, and be fingerprinted.

DESCRIPTION

Orientation Clinic

Every new volunteer must attend and complete this clinic prior to volunteering.
This clinic includes: Orientation,  tour, barn and horse safety, Grace Foundation’s Natural Horsemanship
philosophy on handling horses, hands-on grooming and leading. 

Ages 8-11 must have a parent/legal guardian present and with their child during orientation, and the parent/legal guardian must be with the youth at all times during the youth's volunteer hours! 
All parents of youth volunteers ages 8-16 must attend a meeting from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm which is held right after the volunteer clinic.

**Cost for this clinic is $10 per participant**

Clinics are held the first Saturday of each month from 9:30 am to 12 noon.
Registration begins at 9:15 am.  Please be here no later than 9:25 am in order to attend the clinic.

The next Volunteer Clinic is scheduled for  April 3, 2010!

Hours

Adults may volunteer Mondays through Sundays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

8-11 year old youth must be with their parent/guardian during their volunteer time 

12-16 year old youth may only volunteer on Sundays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm unless they are in the Youth Leadership Program.
 

No Volunteer Hours on Holidays

Paperwork

Prior to volunteering, all volunteers must have a current and completed Volunteer Application, Parent/Legal Guardian Agreement for youth ages 8 to17, as well as the Release of Liability on file with The Grace Foundation. Please download the appropriate paperwork and bring them to the New Volunteer Orientation.
